This morning, my MAGA Italian America cousin who hails from a Upstate NY community that flies more Italian flags than America ones, posted a reel from a MAGA Hmong American running for office in TX, claiming that “immigrants need to assimilate”. Did I mention these folks actually fly Italian flags?

Well it seems the Don’t Tread on Me crowd has not only morphed into the “Comply or Die” crowd, but also believes that if ICE are grabbing folks off the street and disappearing them for hours or days and then letting them go, that’s fine. They were “only be detained”.

Seeing all these MAGA mommies (mostly white Boomers and Xers) blaming a father trying to get his family home after a school function, for his children being gassed, is un f-ing believable. I’ve gotten in the habit of telling them to shut off Fox News and read the Constitution.

Sitting here watching Escape from LA, very cheesy movie (Escape from NY was better), but the first 10 minutes is extremely eerie in this day and age. A US police force, stripping of US citizenship, deportation or death of non citizens, president for life, etc.

And MAGA Christians yell , “praise Jesus” on this post by DHS. We are so lost.

The hot topic on teacher boards is the dismantling of of the DoEd. As a special education teacher, it makes me very sad that SO MANY teachers (even special education teachers) support it. It seems a lot of teachers really have no clue besides what they hear on Fox News.

Went on the Penzeys Spices website to stock up as they’re having a “Pre Trump” sale. I thought about when VP Harris visited one during the campaign, and how joyful all the customers were and how gracious the VP was. It made me shed a small tear of what could have been.
