Does anyone know of studies that examine both 1. effects of top-down attention to, and 2. emotional content of, attended stimuli on sensory responses to ignored stimuli? I'm specifically curious whether effects of attention and emotion summate to some extent to reduce responses to ignored stimuli.

This editorial **falsely** claims that the psyarxiv commentary on IIT as pseudoscience was written by GNWT proponents. They also said "such language has no place in a process designed to establish working relationships between competing groups." How could they totally misunderstand the situation??
