An avid snowboarder, Brian’s fascination with the design and manufacturing process of the sport’s equipment inspired him to return to school to pursue a career in mechanical engineering. With the mantra, “Give a Meal. Share Hope.” West Georgia Technical College knows that when resources pause, compassion can’t. The shutdown left many students without access to SNAP benefits, so the school is collecting non-perishable food items & donations to support its campus Little Free Pantries.

Mott Community College is proud to be one of 15 schools added to the #MetallicaScholars Initiative roster in Year 7. Grant funds from #AWMH will support MCC’s efforts to expand its high-demand career training pathways in Welding, CNC Machining, and Public Works.

Donavan had just started as a machinist at a maritime defense contractor when the #MetallicaScholars opportunity at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College arose. #AWMH funding allowed him to build new skills and refine existing ones while working his way out of debt, rather than adding to it.

New to #MetallicaScholars Year 7, Salish Kootenai College is using its $75,000 grant to increase access to trade education for adult and secondary learners. The school provides high-quality, skills-based training leading to in-demand, high-paying jobs in the transportation and construction sectors.

When @metallica.com brought the #M72 World Tour to Rogers Centre last April, AWMH joined the band in giving back to the surrounding community. With the CAD$40,000 Daily Bread Food Bank received, the non-profit has worked to expand food access and strengthen its network across Toronto.

The only community college in its state, Delaware Tech is a proud member of the Metallica Scholars Initiative. The school is using its $50K grant to support 8 certified nursing assistants (CNAs) at the Owens Campus in Georgetown & 9 emergency medical technicians (EMTs) at the Terry Campus in Dover.
