Finished up a few new Greek goddesses today. Circe - lived on a mythical island and and used herbs and incantations to turn her enemies to animals

Been painting women holding fire for years (only women, men don’t get fire or crowns is one of the rules of my paintings) but while I’m not abandoning that imagery, fire has felt more complicated with all the real fires in the world - swords feel like a good new idea to repeat.
