I've been getting real tired of so many AI slop history/sword/military videos that are just... wrong. So I made a channel dedicated to debunking them.

Norwegian peasant militia axes were weird. But the curved head was so you get the leverage of an axe, but a similar drawing/cutting motion you get with a curved sword. It's one of those designs that didn't really make it.

The Imperium of Man barely has railguns small enough to give to Space Marines. Cyberpunk has railgun pistols that are seen as a common Corp concealed pieces, and they can penetrate over 16 feet of dense concrete (likely ~2.4 feet of armor steel). The Tau don't even have that.

We gotta stop this "Warhammer 40k is more advanced because it's 40,000 years" Space Marines get stronger by getting injected with hormones and eating ceramics for a year so it fuses with their bones. Cyberpunk has a nanite injection that rebuilds muscle casually over 2 weeks.

Contrary to what movies say, it's not difficult to use a sword. They weigh about 2.5 pounds, and, according to some, only take about a week to learn proficiency. Gaining expertise requires more time, though.

Warhammer 40k bolter. The green part, 6, is the explosive charge. By volume, this would equal about 13 grams of modern Composition B, which would have a lethal radius of half a meter. Under 2 feet.

What's kind funny is the US military has tested duplex ammo (firing two bullets per bullet) They've found that it just performs better out to 300 meters. And we've done nothing with this knowledge.

I talk about gaming, swords, scifi, and guns. It doesn't feel right to keep talking about cyborgs and super soldiers right now. But... there are LEGIONS of nerd and sword content creators who embrace toxicity and hate. If I stopped, it'd make those hobbies and interests less safe for some.

Weapons and armor have been in a race for ages. Weapons get better Then armor Then weapons Now we're at a weird stage where armor is limited just by weight we're willing to carry. And weapons by how willing we are to do war crimes.
