Hello UI-CON attendees and fans! UI-CON is moving through time and space for 2026, and we'd like you all to join us on the journey! UI-CON 2026 will be held at the Illinois Conference Center (connected to the iHotel), and will be held Friday, Jan. 30th, and Saturday, Jan. 31st.

We are already hard at work planning for UI-CON 2026. However, we have some unfortunate news. Due to changes in university policy, we couldn't have an artist and vendor hall with our current arrangements in 2026. This will mean that our badge prices will be going up significantly for next year. 🧵

Announcing our second cosplay guest, McKenzie Shane! McKenzie Shane is a proud U of I alumni and excited to be a part of this year's UI-CON. McKenzie started competitive cosplay in 2021, accumulating several category placements including a Best in Show at last year's UI-CON cosplay contest!

UI-CON announces our first cosplay guest of the year, MaryMaryCosplay! Mary has been competing for 10 years and is a multi-award winning cosplayer. Mary’s work has been shown in multiple cosplay publications and been displayed in national and international costume exhibitions!

So excited to be invited back to my Alma Mater! Last year, UIUC-Con was such an impression celebration of collaboration, community and art's ability to unite people from all walks of life. It will be an honor to be back, and an inspiration to watch as the show grows.
