My best friend follows me here. A childhood friend does, too. They’re not naturists themselves. When you’re nudist, not everyone is interested in your sharing that aspect of your life with them. It’s nice to have people in my life I can be 100% with. ☮️❤️🍑

If you’re nudist and you’re not pro-choice, do you truly believe in bodily autonomy? If you’re nudist and you don’t support trans rights, do you truly believe in body freedom? To me, all these freedoms go hand-in-hand. One cannot exist without the other. ☮️❤️🍑

Hard to believe World Naked Gardening Day is under 3 months away. This is not a photo from early May because we can’t plant anything in the northern US that time of year.

I wrote to the legislature a few years ago the last time they went this route. I know @aanr-social.bsky.social government affairs team has been alerted, so hopefully this goes away quietly like in the past. VT is known for live-and-let-live, but our heritage gets henpecked once we make the news.

Boy, did the flu suck. I was in bed for five days and still getting my stamina back a week later. Anyway, that’s where I’ve been.

When we challenge the shibboleths of establishment nudism let’s try to ensure we aren’t creating new ones. Speaking from the heart, especially in online advocacy, centers the humanness of nudism. ☮️❤️🍑

St. Francis, a hero to nudists, likely didn’t say this, despite attribution to him. I’m irreligious, but in light of world affairs: “Make me a channel of your peace Where there's despair in life let me bring hope Where there is darkness, only light And where there's sadness, ever joy” ☮️❤️🍑

Say what you will about them but Apple nailed it with this ad. Infectious tune and a great message. Nudism is for all bodies. Some enterprising folks could bring our movement a long way with this level of inclusion and a banger tune. ☮️❤️🍑

Re: naturism aphorism posts: is there AI overuse? Three short statements as a list, phrases like “just hits different” are common across AI writing. Throw in the leaf emoji for naturism. To me, nudism is so essentially human that to use AI for posts doesn’t hit different. It hits wrong. (1/2)

One of our well-known influencers posted that naturism heals body shame and changes how you see your body within minutes. Lifelong nudist here. It hasn’t for me. Has it made it better? In ways. At times. If you’re not reflected in pie-in-the-sky posts, please, please know you’re not alone. ☮️❤️🍑

Lately, naturist orgs are peppering us with platitudes that speak in absolutes in their pronouncements, like trying to dictate “x will happen.” Everyone experiences life differently and the danger in these aphorisms is it will leave people behind if they don’t see themselves in those words. ☮️❤️🍑

Some of these are evergreen and could’ve been stated half a lifetime ago when I was a young naturist who wasn’t a joiner. I think hypersexualization of the body and messages of shame are the biggest ones, which can be compounded by technology that didn’t exist 20-odd years ago.

While I love winter, I’m warming up by remembering Little Beach, Maui, on a cold, cold night. I think if everyone got a chance to spend a few days at a place like Little Beach, humanity would benefit and how we act toward each other and the planet would improve. ☮️❤️🍑

I read this during the hypnotized fervor for war many I knew had embraced in the early ‘00s and loved it. It helped solidify my stances on pacifism and nonviolence. It’s not easy going against the prevailing bloodthirsty narrative so it was nice to find an ally. ☮️❤️🍑

Sad because it’s true. If we’re numb to the treatment of our trans siblings, don’t expect anything different for ourselves.

I left religion when it became apparent they weren’t following the example of the dude they claim to worship. “Jesus never aligned either the state against the vulnerable.” Damn straight.

Mind Body Green has scrubbed many articles I wrote for them, but you mention being naked and you persevere for 14 years. I wrote this and meant it, but if you’ve seen my recent posts you’ll know I should’ve concluded with it’s a start but not necessarily a cure. ☮️❤️🍑

“Researchers consistently distinguish between everyday, non-sexual nudity and sexualized exposure. The former is what these studies examine. The latter is where real harm is documented. Conflating the two… muddies public understanding.” That’s why we should remind folks that nudism is nonsexual.

When I’m unclothed, I feel whole. I feel like myself. I feel at home. I feel deeply connected. Like this is how it was always meant to be. This is how I’ve felt my whole life. Clothes are fine. Sometimes necessary. But this is me at my most genuine. Life’s better with authenticity. ☮️❤️🍑

Imagine life without social conditioning. What would it look like to show up authentically? To not be afraid to be different? To be your whole self? Society gaslights us into submission, punishing those who don’t fit the prevailing cultural narrative. Shift it. Be you. ☮️❤️🍑

Thinking about this even more this week. Marie has been the canary in the coal mine, consistently calling this out. And I think we’ve arrived at that moment.

No matter how calm or happy I look in my photos, I’ve long dealt with self-judgment. Often when I look at older pictures, I wonder why. But I don’t then translate that to my present. If I have a ‘26 goal it’s to flip the script and stop the self-judgment. Wish me luck. ☮️❤️🍑

Nudism is nonsexual. Always has been. Nakedness is not inherently sexual, as global cultures can attest. This doesn’t mean naturists are opposed to sex. We just don’t buy into cultural propaganda about the human body.

A few years ago, I shared this photo on Facebook. I’m obviously not wearing anything so it was my way of coming out as nudist. And I got few responses. It taught me that people aren’t thinking about us as much as we think they are. ☮️❤️🍑

Nudism is a nonsexual practice. I don’t know what happened overnight but I had a deluge of follows and likes that were not related to this practice and some objectifying replies as well, which know your audience. I think I took care of it with deletions, but man that was a lot to deal with. ☮️❤️🍑

Wearing clothes to swim is one of our weirdest inventions.
