You know, people can be offended by literally anything. If you can’t do something because it offends someone, then you have no freedom at all that can’t be taken away at someone else’s whim. Being naked should be a human right, and if it offends you, that’s tough titty.

Why I love the naturist community. Someone interacts with me for the first time and I’m given kindness and support. Let’s do this for each other more often.

I’ve always viewed Thanksgiving as a speed bump toward my Solstice/Yule celebrations. But never felt it should be a day forcing underpaid labor to work ridiculous hours in the face of throngs of rabid shoppers. Happy Thanksgiving! Skip Black Friday! Shop local and small if you shop at all. ☮️❤️🍑

Two months ago I had a stress attack but thought it was my heart. I’d been pushed into survival mode & was tapped out. One of my first actions was to reconnect with you all. And a week later I went where I feel whole (📸). Exercising more, changed diet, managing workload. Things have improved. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

Took a while but I finally got all my appeals accepted. May Bluesky’s algorithm someday understand nudism.

It says a lot about how we treat the human body that nudists and naturists are at the margins of society while creepy sexual predators gain access to levers of power the world over. Maybe they shouldn’t get to drive the narrative.

18 years ago, my first naturist photo was taken in a secluded spot on a Malibu beach. After we got home, we transferred the photos and wiped the card before giving the borrowed digital camera back. We never imagined phones would be cameras. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

Hate, including self-hatred, is learned. It’s conditioning or a choice, not inherent. What if we raised people to feel worthy from their earliest days? What if we redeemed people who break the internal or external cycles? Everybody is worthy of dignity. Every body is worthy of dignity. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

This is my all-time favorite photo of myself. I was weeks from marriage looking back at the love of my life. I actually had a raging headache and a lot of studying to do. But you wouldn’t know it. Find someone who accepts you for you. It makes a world of difference. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

This is absolutely true.

Let’s put the ☮️ in ☮️ ❤️ 🍑. My grandfather’s stories about WWII planted the seeds of pacifism. As a child I was challenged to fights and refused, recognizing the futility of battling. For anyone who has striven for nonviolence in their lives, I recommend this book that I read many years ago.

1) When I am nude among fellow nudists or with trusted non-naturists, I am very comfortable in my skin. I don’t even think about it.

I’ve discovered that I am calmer with a more natural, less strained look in my eyes and smile when I take an unclothed photo. It is the purest expression of my being, of who I am at my core. We are called to love people as they are for who they are. We start by doing that for ourselves. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

A few weeks ago, I landed in the ER thinking cardiac event, but instead I learned I was holding a ton of tension in my upper body. That event led me back here to reconnect with this wonderful community. Reconnecting with you has brought me back into myself. Things are looking up. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

Nature plays a huge role in my being nudist. Not only being outdoors, but also my deep interest in conservation and preservation of habitats. For me, nudism (or naturism) and environmental consciousness go hand-in-hand. Love yourself by loving the planet. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

With the weather flipping the switch to autumn, here’s a little warmth in the timeline from late spring 2022. The Ledges in Vermont are a special place, one of my favorite spots on the planet. Living the way I was meant to be, I always feel whole there. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

Society’s collective gymnophobia has cut us off from that which makes us whole: connection to our own bodies. Polluting thoughts of never being good enough make it hard to show empathy, understanding, and humanity to others. All bodies are worthy of dignity and respect. Reconnect. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

Nudists often want allies who will advocate and support our cause. How many of us support others marginalized within our collective culture? Beyond online posting. Talking to friends and family, contacting the powerful, letters to editors, supporting advocacy groups. We all belong. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

When I honeymooned on Maui years ago, I determined I was unclothed about 70% of the time. It was the most glorious ten days. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

You know your identity before you think you do. I was 6 and a book about “Pecos Bill” had a nude illustration of him being raised by wolves. I was jealous. I was 15 in Assisi and learned about St. Francis renouncing materialism by removing his clothes. I wished it was me. And so on. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

While I try to look my best, I reject beauty culture. I’ve been burned by it (see link via @planetnude.co). So I reject “all bodies are beautiful” framing often seen in nudism. What if the body encases a toxic spirit? I prefer to frame things as all bodies are worthy of dignity and respect.

I’ve taken aggression due to my nonviolent ethic. In 2001, right-leaning contacts called me names meant to emasculate. Now, it comes from left-leaning contacts because I don’t support assassination. Pacifism & nonviolence are active not passive. And definitely not an easy choice. ☮️ ❤️ 🍑

This is a beautiful sentiment. If we’re not living authentically, are we truly living?

In northern climes, it would make sense to have World Naked Gardening Day later in the year. I had a naked harvest day this weekend.
