Using the Switch feels like a big step up from the original screens, but the black and red make it very disorienting to come out of. The nose rest is also very uncomfortable, it needs some padding. Still a cool thing to have again, I’m glad the VB is back in playable form

Put together the new Speed Champions BTTF Delorean set last night, it’s a great set for the price and size! Being able to change between BTTF 1/2 is also a really nice touch. I do wish some of the details weren’t stickers, but at least Lego stickers seem better than Bandai gunpla ones.

Spent hours trying to figure out how to make Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous read two throttles at once and it’s still not quite there (one is fully working but the other one can’t reverse), but my Nilson Works Monument EX showed up, so at least I have another giant box to work my way towards.

Went to reacquaint with #EliteDangerous Took a small bounty, realized I couldn’t interdict because no module, bought one, refound a bounty, couldn’t figure out how to interdict, remembered hardpoints, found my real target was at a planet so no interdiction needed, finished in 5 seconds. I’m amazing.

My second Moderoid kit, first Titanomachia, and a more pleasant (but smaller and less detailed) experience compared to Thunderjaw. I love the tiny ragdoll Sally feet and it’s still very stable with no base. Also the cockpit remains fully accessible after completion which is rare. #gunpla

Here I am playing #Endfield because I loved Arknights only to discover I got tricked into anime Satisfactory. I’m not mad, but I’m going to be addicted to production lines and that is not where I thought this was going

Gacha catch up: Doing HSR but it’s a slog. I love the story but Penacony is not for me. I don’t like half the characters there, most of the ones I do like don’t feel like they belong, I don’t care for the pseudo US 1920’s style, & the pacing is dragging; two story climaxes but not even 75% done.

My Switch might be neglected, but to be fair they still haven’t released Shatterhand, Metal Storm, Sin & Punishment, or Kabuki Quantum Fighter Cannon Dancer is still excellent tho

A nice MG Astraea + Proto GN twin blade was handled over the weekend. This thing comes with a whole damn armory, the accessories are out of control But the giant twin blade is still the star of the show

Metal Gear memorabilia has at last arrived; a new desk pad and shaker + drink powder

Decided to finally snag a Thunderbolt since supplies seem to be dwindling. Also got a Genesis and it’s the limited edition with the metal joints, which I’ve read have a tendency to be loose but couldn’t find a regular edition.

Short Gundam go for the knees

Just cleared Ninja Gaiden Shadow with the new colorization patch by marcmax. Very short, as to be expected of a handheld title with no saving back then, but they started kicking up the difficulty halfway through which was appreciated. It’s no mainline title in terms of depth but I enjoyed it.

Oh yeah, Halo Reach arcade game! All the excitement, none of the trauma!

Power Rangers 2017: Actually not too bad, fun delivery of a lot of classic lines, great Zardon, excellent effects But what happened with the art design? Rita, Goldar, and the Megazord were all terrible, with the latter looking like a bad Ninja Gaiden/DMC boss (Ranger pods are weak points)

Playing Metal Gear Rising again, it’s weird playing a modern game from before high-res took over. The UI is big and each element takes up a lot of screen space, the lack of ultra-wide support feels odd Makes me sad again we never got another, there’s a lot that could be done to make it more fluid

Two of my new Lego sets completed! Not sure if I’ll do an LED kit again. It looks amazing but parts of it are very finicky and make the build a little unstable. Glad I did it the once tho, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be

Got the rest of my gifts today! I’m really excited for the new mouse which is the lightest mouse I’ve ever felt in my life. New STECS for Star Citizen/Elite/Ace Combat gonna be hot Also got a new Tron sweatshirt and Baymax jersey!

Doing delayed Christmas because of my job, this is the first round of received gifts. Got Criterion collection editions of Time Bandits and Adventures of Baron Munchausen, probably my favorite Gilliam movies. I haven’t seen either of these in probably a decade, I’m kind of excited!

CHRISTMAS HAS ARRIVED Planet Harriers, one of the two big Sega arcade games I never got to play at release, is finally available and I am ecstatic! The other one is Virtua Cop 3, I never did get the chance to mod an Xbox to run it as an arcade machine for that game. Need to rig that up one day…

When Edge of Fate came out I did not like the grinding direction Destiny was in so I dipped out Now that they’ve revamped all that I hopped back to clear out EOF and try the new stuff. The story for EOF was pretty good, it was nice seeing Maya connect to a real story and all the golden age links

Been getting back into Honkai Star Rail, I just finished chapter 2 so I got a long way to go to catch up on man story. I hadn’t fully realized just how behind Ruan Mei had gotten until I got The Dahlia; instantly dealing super break damage is crazy Now to pray break doesn’t fall off too hard…

This Godzilla/Gundam mashup looks pretty great when completed, but it was also the most physically painful kit I’ve made yet. Nearly every part was a super tight fit that I struggled with and my poor fingertips are so tender

Parking Garage Rally Circuit: Fantastic little racing game! The graphical options are spot on and timing/execution is very tight. I initially thought the usage of mesh for transparencies was too much for pretending to be the Saturn but looking into it I may have remembered wrong.

Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom: Art and graphics are perfect, but the game design is maybe too spot-on; it’s only been two levels and I feel like I’ve experienced everything and don’t really want to collect however many more gears to beat it. Still pretty cool! Also Crazy Taxi never came out on N64

The Steam sale attacked me a little bit more: •Nitro Express •Rogue Flight •Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom •Parking Garage Rally Circuit •Warstride Challenges •Chorus •Ghostrunner are all now part of me. Time to try all these out and see how it goes

Ikaruga (white) and DoDonPachi have been added to the lineup, mostly completing my STG lineup. Unless a company adds models/figures for ESP RaDe/Galuga or Einhaender I can’t even think of what else I would add.

Two more kits for the pile. I got lucky on the Ixchel and received a first run version (has a special base and gun) and the other is a rather unlicensed Godzilla/Gundam

Xenoblade 2 Siren: honestly a bit of a disappointment. It’s very fragile all over, the extended arms are locked in position, the gold pieces are a cheap looking matte, and there’s very little posing available outside of the legs. I want more Xenoblade stuff but I hope it’s higher quality next time.

Used the Steam sale to pick up some games I’ve been meaning to get to Sifu is pretty fun so far! It’s sluggish but the homages are great, and I guess we’ll see if it’s a good idea to play master for my first time through. Also I had to enable vsync to stop it from doing 450fps & maxing my GPU lol

Eva 01 awakened looming over 01 and 02 all spooky like It’s a regular Kotobukiya kit so it’s not nearly as nice and detailed as the other two that are RG kits. I want the whole set of RGs but I’ve heard Bandai isn’t making them anymore so I guess I’ll have to hunt slowly and hope for reprints

This is only my second Gundam HG ever (I started deeper in the swimming pool than I should’ve and never went back), so its a surprise again how easy and fast they are. I do love this design tho, so I’m awaiting a bigger, more detailed version

Got this package in the other day: Gundam GQuuuuuuX, DoDonPachi, both Ikaruga ships in white, and my first Titanomachia! My last Good Smile kit was from Horizon, and while it’s an awesome looking kit the hips were too tight and one broke trying to put it in. I’m hoping they’ve improved since then.

Reposed him to friendly waving in the dock, still need to arrange the weapons to be in the supports. Shows everything off a bit better. Also, the wireless lighting system is so cool to me, I’ve never seen anything like it before!

Done. Sort of. I need to reconfigure this whole thing, because even though I love that it’s holding the most massive sword of any of my models, it’s also crazy unwieldy and I lose some of the charm of having a banger bay. I am thankfully surprised that all the wiring went well and the lights work

This kit let me put together a sword that is literally twice the size of the mech and I have discarded all previous posing plans

So that Alkaid model kit I got came with this cute sticker sheet, and apparently uses a wireless magnetic coil lighting system. I’m interested to see how this actually works in practice

Two new model kits have arrived. The three brown boxes go togther and at 64 runners will be the most complex model I’ve ever done. The other kit has a light up dock base that I thought looked cool. I’ve been starting to have a backlog so I’m really looking forward to getting back into these.

Ninja Gaiden 4: Revengeance is so good, I’m absolutely obsessed! I’m playing on hard and it’s so unrelenting at every opportunity, really interested to see how master ninja is. The enemies are great, bosses fantastic, and controls are perfect. I was excited but it still managed to exceed my hopes

Borderlands 4 is really fun and has some great guns, and I’m surprised at how well the scaling works for coop of various levels. That said, the performance problems are insane and the plethora of terrible charge weapons means half the loot is auto-dismantle. I also forgot BL does RNG hit reg, bleh

Seeing the Megazord form up in Fortnite made me realize I want to see a Voltron/PR/etc. game where each player controls their own animal, and then when they form together each player is independently responsible for their own limb. Watching people just try to walk would be absolute chef’s kiss

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound first ending complete. It’s good but not great. Everything is solid but there’s little issues all over the place: too much camera zoom, hypercharge, timed platforming; there’s a lot that didn’t feel Ninja Gaiden-y but I liked the throwbacks and bouncing off heads was fun
