I think the biggest case of revisionist history in gaming has to be certain Nintendo fans trying to convince everyone that the N64 controller is perfect. You know damn well the PS1 controller and even Saturn 3D Controller were better built. Ebay listings gotta TELL YOU if the stick is tight lol.

Im gonna say it. People who grew up with Nintendo games and consoles have a weird superiority complex when it comes to gaming history. Any mascot or console that opposed their Mario box? Retroactively seen as lesser, even if it has it's own merits and revolutionary achievements.

That last point bothers me, because I've noticed alot of Mario fanatics tend to put other platformers down because they expect more from them. You'll go on and on about how revolutionary Mario 64 is, but look over at the PS1? There's not alot of respect being put on Jumping Flash.
