Made some more progress on my scifi models and I really love this design for my mechanic! My laptop does not like posing at such high detail, but I learned that the multiresolution modifier lets me reduce everything down to a point that I can pose it. #Blender #3dmodeling #Scifi #Gamedev

Did some thinking and I decided that I won't use orcs in the scifi period of my fantasy setting; So, I recolored the model and redesigned the helmet to fit the bronze age instead. In the bronze age for my setting the Orishkar are more like sharks and were the first to use iron. #Blender #Gamedev

Got the colors on the model; I figured out that it can only be posed when I set the multiresolution modifier to 0. I still need to work on the "human" equivalent that'll also function as the protagonist for my first game and the weapons that they'll use. #Blender #Gamedev #Scifi

I've gone as far as my 4-year-old laptop will let me; ambient occlusion and cavity maps do not want to work so I'll have to do some lower poly work around for animation and only use the high-res stuff for 3d printing miniatures, for now. #Gamedev #modeldesign #Blender

More orc progress made the mouthpiece a grill and finally figured out texture brushes, so all the metal and leather look beat to heck. Untextured assets never look good, but I finished all the weapons for my scifi setting. I don't have the hardware for full videogame development yet; however, I do have my miniatures agnostic tabletop game that's going into playtesting this month! Now to finish the drones that actually use these.

Went through my bits box to organize my custom GSC army and I found all the remaining bits from my first space marine army; They were a kitbashed mess of Blood Angel and Space Wolves parts but I loved them.

Finally played Halo Flashpoint and it was amazing, my brother and I got some rules wrong but it’s an amazing experience that really captures the feeling if Halo multiplayer. The Elites with the sword are terrifying when they actually hit.

Halfway done with my Ghar! Just need to let the strong tone dry then I can get the last two layers on everything. I’m split on how I want to do the bases because a green color scheme might blend too much with a grassy base.

Solid progress on the standard drone for my scifi setting. I made a naked version so I could layer the armor and more easily make variants. I'm going to make the faction shoulder pads and heads before I get to posing.

So, I'm putting the Bronze age fantasy on hold until I kitbash my concept models, but I've got more of an idea of what I want to make for my scifi setting.
