So allegedly Trey played through John Mayers dumble amp at GD 60 in San Francisco and he loved it. Now he had two of his own, despite Mayer having a huge collection and near monopoly on dumble amps. This is why Trey sounds so good on Trey Band tour.

No show has ever been more hyped by marketing both before and after than Goose MSG.

So Goose is really only going to play 16 shows in the 6 months between Oct. and April? To reach the 62 shows they played last year (not to mention the 82 they played in 23) they would need to play as many shows every two months as they are in the first six.

Show was okay last night. A solid B, with the Mad saving it. The Mad though was good but by far not the best this year. Overall the Fall tour has been pretty mid with their lack of playing shows showing up and I think holding them back, as well as Peter adjusting to the new Rhodes/setup.

I'm sorry but this Goose Fall Tour is goofy as hell. A midweek two night run and a bunch of one off weekend shows scattered about in no particular order.

One hell of a Goose show last night. They came out of the gates ready to jam. The Rockdale had Westville rockdale like heaviness. The second set Arrow, TOS, Atlas, and Thatch jammed hard. We got bliss, dark goose, goontz, and some innovative jams. We did not get any new songs. Fall tour!

Thinking about this line in the GQ article, "Mitarotonda acknowledges that his band’s focus on branding has been crucial to the group’s success." I don't think that is right. I think it was the momentum from playing great live shows. EMG vs. CYD is one example of marketing not needed or helpful.
