😰 💔My beloved canine companion Rafe has died. On the 5th of August it was unavoidably his time. It may be difficult for some to comprehend the profound depths of grief engendered by the loss of a non-human animal companion. I have been priveleged to share this special bond with him for 14 years.

Just wondering (as I walk) whether anyone has ever written on the philosophy of public houses. I’m not a good candidate as I only frequent pubs in theory.

Dragonflies are so beautiful perhaps they inspired fairy lore (just saw some damselflies).

It seems nature doesn’t discriminate in the value ascribed to living things. (But humans do).

Listening to the radio today I heard a recording of Ian Bostridge (tenor) singing a solo from The Rake's Progress (Stravinsky 😃) and it was utterly sublime so I had to buy the CD with him singing (lucky find on eBay).
