Although it's not clear (either way) whether Homan can constitutionally be impeached, the fact that there haven't already at least been articles of impeachment drawn up (and calls by legislators for his resignation) is a sign of just how broken our system of checks and balances has become.

I've said this before, but IMO we need to spend less time OBSERVING that Trump is engaged in authoritarian corruption and more trying to use language to build pressure to stop it. Same with Tom Homan's bribe. Yes, it was a bribe. Who can we embarrass politically for letting it happen.

This is, IMO, a misread of what the story says. It says Bove was skeptical of the case. Which is utterly consistent with Bove AT THAT SAME TIME killing the Eric Adams bribery case, and also consistent with what Chad Mizelle was saying publicly about other reasons to kill bribery cases.

The only mention in this column about rescissions is a quote from Peter Welch, "Trump’s opposition to a shutdown rings false given his unilateral spending cuts." With not explanation that protecting power of the purse is ALSO one of Dems demands.
