The cost of Hinkley Point C, two 1,630 MW French Evolutionary Power Reactors, has sky-rocketed to almost $68 billion, up from the original estimate of $24 billion. The rate for customers will also likely increase. The completion date has been pushed to 2030 which would make the plant 13 years late.
