The current Israel-US relationship is based on keeping Netanyahu and Trump in power so they each stay out of jail. When political winds threaten one’s power due to the other the relationship will change very quickly. If I were Netanyahu I’d be worried.

The Trump presidency is in shambles - low approval ratings, failed policies, high prices, incompetent prosecution of a military operation - among many other failures. But Trump and his cronies are making lots of money. Kind of makes you think that’s the only thing that matters to him.

Periodic reminder that the GOP owns Trump and the messes he has created. Confirming incompetent people to cabinet positions. Failure of Congress to perform its Constitutional duties. Participating in self-dealing and other blatant acts of corruption. Nominating Trump in the first place. I can go on.

We are now seeing predictable results of Trump/GOP policies. Higher costs for most everything. People dropping health insurance. Brain drain due to defunding scientific research. Secret police detaining people without due process. War for no good reason. Vanity projects. This is the GOP world.

Trump starts a war for no clear reason without Congress’ approval. The US uses up valuable weapons, loses some people, and kills civilians. Pakistan brokers a cease fire. Now we pay Iran to transit Hormuz, they still can process Uranium, and new leaders are more radical than before. So much winning.

Let us see this clearly. Trump continues to use up military assets to attack Iran for no good reason. This has made us much less secure. 1-We are using up valuable weapons 2-We are encouraging direct attacks on the homeland 3-We have lost the cooperation of our allies. What can go wrong?

This will be controversial, but I think it is extremely important for Dems to get a Senate majority in the midterms for the sole reason of using the McConnell Doctrine to delay consideration of any new SCOTUS vacancy until the next POTUS election. Hopefully no vacancies occur before Jan 2027.

Best summary of the Iran war I’ve heard so far: a tactical success but a massive strategic failure. The US has the most capable military in the world for which I’m thankful (and we’ve paid for it), but there has never been a coherent strategy beyond Trump’s toddler-level mental whims.

I get the feeling that Trump is about done with the Presidency. He thinks no one wants to cooperate with him, too many people cause him trouble, and gov’t is stupid. He just doesn’t want to put in the effort anymore and thinks he’s above the office. So why not declare victory and just walk away?

Went to dinner with my wife and daughter at a nice but by no means fancy brewpub restaurant. Bill with 20% tip was over $130 for two entrees, an entree salad, a beer and a mixed drink - about $40/person. Thanks to Trump and GOP non-governance for this and $4/gal gas in an already shaky economy.

Trump is now considering diverting US military aid from Ukraine to the Mideast. His level of rank corruption sees no limit. Why not let the filthy rich oil princes pay for their own defense? No, make the country invaded by Russia suffer some more and further degrade European/NATO and US security.

Markwayne Mullin confirmed as head of DHS along party lines by Senate Republicans. Another unqualified Trump worshiper heading the department that’s supposed to protect us from terrorists - just as we stir up the hornet’s nest in the Middle East. Great. Remember that Republicans made this choice.

It is abundantly clear now more than ever that the Trump admin is dangerously incompetent and corrupt. Our security is threatened, our economy is being driven to recession, and the rule of law is ignored. There are no strategies, just immature bright object reactionism. Thanks, Republicans.

Just when you thing the idiocy can’t get any worse - now Trump has lifted sanctions on oil from Iran and Russia. We go to war with Iran and respond by allowing them to get more money. Let’s also help Russia. What’s next - gifts of uranium processing equipment to North Korea?

Under Trump the US is less safe, less prosperous, less respected, and less healthy. Why? It’s because he is incompetent, criminally corrupt, dishonorable, and unfit for office. He is enabled by the GOP through Congress’s capitulation and corruption of SCOTUS. Sounds like a great opposition platform!

Trump stating that we should continue attacking Kharg Island “just for fun” is by itself an automatically impeachable offense. Using our military is not a game. Lives are at stake. It’s as serious as it gets. His flippant attitude is disgusting, perverse, and warrants immediate removal from office.

A serious question to all Americans who have children old enough for military service: do you trust Trump and his military leadership to thoughtfully deploy them and maintain their safety? If not you had better speak up now. I fear his unhinged ambitions will eventually require them to serve.

1/ Here we sit mid-March 2026 and Trump continues to drive the US into deeper and deeper trouble. Starts a war for unknown reasons and without a plan. American lives lost. Munitions depleted. Civilians killed. Energy prices skyrocketing while economy was already fragile. US soft power gone.

Trump and the GOP are going to feel really bad impacts of their policies very quickly now. The economy is at a tipping point. DHS is less effective with the shutdown. We are at war. Trump and his regime clearly don’t know what they’re doing. Problem is, the rest of us will also feel the splatter.

Among the many things we have learned about Trump’s Operation Epstein Fury is that 1) there is no plan or coherent objective for this war; 2) they forgot to consider that Iran might actually defend itself; and 3) budget cutting and DOGE chaos has weakened our ability to protect our assets.

This Iran war is off to a great start. 4 US casualties, loss of 3 fighter jets to friendly fire, and some of the people the Trump admin identified to lead Iran have been killed by the US. There is no plan forward. Watching oil up almost 8%, natural gas up 5%. So much winning.

The longer the Epstein War goes on with Iran, the more the Trump regime will learn about the term “unintended consequences”. I find it very hard to believe that any strategic thinking or gaming out of potential outcomes played any part in the decision to launch these attacks.

Trump has once again blatantly violated the Constitution. Launching an attack on a sovereign nation seeking regime change is a declaration of war any way you slice it, and only Congress can declare war. This is an unambiguously impeachable offense. Time to impeach and remove before Americans die.

A reminder that Trump needs to be impeached and removed from office. Why aren’t Democrats on fire about this? Yes, it was tried twice before and failed because of spineless, complicit Republicans. Have things got better or worse? It should be getting easier! We need to keep trying until it sticks.

All blue state legislatures and governors must pass laws that will prohibit all ICE or border patrol operations within 25 miles of any polling place. Laws are needed by the 2026 midterms to prevent Trump goons from disrupting voting. States control elections; they need to maintain their integrity.

A regular reminder: Trump soils everything he touches. The sooner we can remove him from office, the less soiling that will occur. Hello GOP Congress - this is solely on you. Time to do damage control. Get a spine.

Saw a report today that Kier Starmer, UK PM, has recognized that BREXIT was a bad move for the UK economy, something most rational people saw from the start. Let’s not forget that BREXIT is another right-wing economic policy fueled by their media machine via anti-immigrant and isolationist rhetoric.
