In other news, I'm about to start week 3 of an online writing course that I thoroughly enjoying, and seem to have spent £50 on esoteric books before even getting out of bed. Im enjoying writing purely for pleasure, no end goal, just words. I also ordered my first ever walking stick. Not so fun.

I'm doing a writing task this morning that involves book openings. I've really enjoyed it, looking at scene setting and what works for me as a reader. These were my 10 books from the shelves. Hill House is a masterpiece, Top Doll is bonkers, my favourite The Beautiful Ones, which I've not yet read.

Morning Skyfolk. It's a new dawn, it's a new day and while I'm not feeling particularly good, a huge thanks for your support yesterday when I had my emotional wobble. My brother is supporting me in defending our favourite person, which helps hugely. Onwards! Coffee in bed time ☕️

I'm so fecking upset. I can't love my favourite person more, but those who abandoned her in the last stage of life now feel it's ok to hit me with shade. It hurts so much. I just... I just hurt.

I've been out, had nice time, come back to a shitty email about my apparent lack of care to my favourite person from Queen Bitch who hasn't bothered to see her since before her hip replacement 3 months ago, and now I feel like the worst human on earth 😔

Outing bad idea. Nice, but hips stopped working and hour in, and I basically crawled home hanging onto street furniture. Did have a super breakfast and bought lovely books. And skinny black jeans. Yes, I've reverted. The alternative was some weird creation called 'barrel' jeans. I'm too old!

Started my 3rd Lost Souls collection today, a mix of poems and short stories. Not getting excited though - it took me 5 years to get my second one out into the world! Tentatively called Lost Souls: Shadow Shores. It'll probably change, but it's nice to have something to hang the collection on.

Today is not going well. Hotel appears to have downgraded our room type but not the price. And are not answering the phone. It's an issue as the downgraded room is on the 2nd floor, the lift is being replaced and I struggle with going above first floor. I need coffee.

Morning Skyfolk. Im peering with bleary eyes at my timeline this morning. Needing coffee on board before heading to poetry club. And adding to the book tbr pile for my course. Binged Atwood's The Penelopiad last night. What a writer she is. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy her writing.
