For me, this is probably Tony James Slater. He's done a number of travel memoirs that are absolutely hilarious. I could never be that funny and it's not JRPG type adventure fiction, so almost no crossover there. But he also does sci-fi as Tyler Aston (i've only read the first book tho so far)

I would use it so much more if we had the infrastructure for it. If i'm going into the city, i'll take the train, absolutely (i hate driving in the city), but locally, it's infrequent and not reliable. And not nearly as cheap as other transit systems. Balti pass was 1/4 of philly in the early 00s
