Pretty sure most of the book wouldn't have happened at all. My MC is clueless and would have gotten herself captured and since she's defenseless, easily killed. Then, the whole world would have been one genocidal incident after another. Or not since the need to motivate Loke would be gone... hmmm...

Book 1 has unrequited romances. One that's very obvious, one that isn't revealed until book 2, where it actually takes some steps. From one side, it's a love that's festered for a long time, the other one of trust and necessity. Romance isn't the focus of the story, it's still mostly just adventure
