we live in an era of tech where you can ask ai ANYTHING and it will respond with the utmost confidence, yet i can't change my systems font.

how do LLMs deal with 3+ layers of abstraction? a simple example that i encounter often: cue to generate a helm values file for a helm library chart for a helm chart for kubernetes manifests. you, as the human, still have to understand each layer of abstraction in order to prompt it well

starting to exercise the llm muscle again i wrote a thoughtful PROMPT.md; laying out 5 phases of a migration from one CI tool to another. Do phase 1, then phase 2, etc. it didn't work and it created a mess of garbage a teammate said "MINIMIZE CONTEXT AT ALL COST; only give it one phase at a time"
