Whew, okay, I was able to withdraw the first half or so of the month's sales from Itch. I'm still waiting on the second half, but still, that's a big relief! I was worried they were going to use the whole situation to pull some bullshit and hold onto funds.

A couple of things: I was too generous to Itch before. They are in a shitty situation, but it's one they put themselves in, by doing an absolutely shit job of policing content on their website, not warning people, and not expediting payouts to minimize payment seizure.

I feel for Itch. They fucked up by not properly policing content, which means the payment processors and credit cards are going to come down on them harder... But they're in a terrible situation with no easy out. The villains here are the credit cards, payment processors and censorship activists.

I think it’s important to remember itch is a platform where they give the option to devs to give itch as low as a 0% cut of revenue. This isn’t greed. This is payment processors trying to decimate the livelihoods of artists. There’s no alternative to itch if it goes under.

Itch creators, you can download a CSV with all purchases on the Earnings-Payments page. This means that even if your stuff gets deleted, you'd have a list of who bought what, so you can resend things out to people who bought it
