It’s so nice since using the @godotengine.org for my game in the last four months that they are constantly updating it (while being open source).

Still around. Still building. Been busy working on the game, Bluesky.

I did see #FantasticFour and it was brilliant. They finally got it right. And seeing Galactus in all his gargantuan glory was awesome. Definitely a movie to see on the big screen if you ever get the chance. Anywho back to building my game.

I realised pretty quickly while creating pixel assets for my game I’m making that I can only go so far with a mouse. So I got a drawing tablet. Nothing fancy. Just a no name brand and it works perfectly for what I need. The difference is huge. #gamedev #indiegame #indiegamedev #godot

I realise now I should have gotten on the React Native train a long time ago. Made so many false starts. At least coming in now means a lot of improvements have been made to take advantage of. #ReactNative

I read somewhere that most apps on phone app stores will nearly get 1000 downloads if they’re lucky. And it’s only those that actually do decent marketing if the app during the lead up to and during its launch that they see any kind of numbers better than that.

A lot of #reactnative courses seem to center around building one app from start to finish. Some people might best learn that way, but I would love it if there were videos dedicated to specific concepts on their own. Yes, my brain works weirdly. Sticking with docs.

Having fun with react native expo on my Sunday. This is not as complicated as I initially thought. Having knowledge of React helps a lot. Subtle differences but there’s enough commonality for this to make total sense.

The thing about developers when it comes to debugging errors is that sanity or not, we don’t stop until we find a solution. Kind of reminds me of Dr Strange when he keeps coming back to bargain. Again. And again. And again.

Just not enough hours in the day. Story of my life. I need to clone me. An extra two would do it I reckon.

I did it! (🔈 sound on to here the SFX) Followed the tutorial the whole day and I have a 2D platform game. Just goes to show it IS possible. The art and music isn’t mine, it was supplied by the tutorial but I can build on the concepts here and make something of my own! #godot #gamedevlopment
