In Trump's America you can now be held for an indeterminate amount of time for an indeterminate reason and you have no recourse.

The creators of our unique democracy planned for every contingency. They could never anticipate a national figure as ignorant and dishonest as Trump. They could never imagine the great wealth amassed today nor that those so wealthy would fund a Trump at the expense of freedom. Such greed.

The original 1956 "Invasion of The Body Snatchers" terrified me as a kid. I was pretty certain my parents would put a pod under my bed. Not because they had been replaced but because they figured it would be a cheap trade-in. Only in the last 20 years have I stopped checking under the bed.

Trump has been extorting money from businesses, universities and the media. He is bored now so he is confiscating private businesses. The state seizing the means of production is basic tenet of communism. The GOP and the MAGAts are too ignorant to remember what they were fighting against.
