⚡🌀 Quick explanation of what El Niño means for the hurricane season, (on average). Simply put, vertical wind shear is more prevalent over the Caribbean, which tends to chop off storms and can limit the number of hurricanes. We are going into El Niño conditions very soon. Source: NOAA Climate.Gov

❄️💧May Snow In Colorado! It's not that unusual. This winter has been pathetically dry around the Denver area. 7.4 inches at my station this morning. Factoring in the rain that fell before the snow, it comes to 0.96 liquid. We are still below-average on precip, so I'd like three more of these.

My Fellow Coloradans... I'm not gonna tell you to quit complaining about the snow. But... we're 5 inches below normal precipitation in Denver and worse on the plains. If we actually cash-in with these snow amounts, it'll be an enormous help. Water = Life. Love y'all! 🥰
