It holds the origin.What do we do with origins?We leave them.And for the rest of our lives, we try to write our way back.Paradise is from Persian pairi-daeza: “walled garden.” A contained place of beauty.But paradise always seems to have a border - to keep someone outside.Heaven isn’t quite a place. Not really. It’s an idea of verticality. Of above, of beyond.
