I’ve been working on more small thumbnail illustrations to get ideas flowing and this one is my favourite so far. Mix of acrylic and digital. I think I’ll try fleshing this one out more!

So I’ve been trying something new to help me do quick studies from imagination. I start by making abstract prints in acrylic and then try to imagine what I see. It’s an incredibly fun exercise and it’s a nice break from feeling the need to use reference all the time

This is a small painting I made from life. It’s one of the first things I painted after years of hardly being able to make anything. I am so happy to be painting again. My heart goes out to everyone who’s been unable to create because of what they’ve been facing.
