#Hobbystreak day 285. I haven't touched my Custodes in ages but it's going to be a rainy Christmas and these terminators were already primed. I forgot how much fun my solar watch scheme is to work on.

#Hobbystreak day 284. Shifted gears today to build Cathay Jade Lancers and Setra with a 3D printed chariot because the metal one is one of the most awful things I have ever had to try and work on.

#Hobbystreak day 282. Last but of base work on the lich priests are done. I also got a start on Belial in my legion scheme. I'm not 100% sure about how I want to paint the cloak yet.

#Hobbystreak day 279. These lich priests are coming along pretty nicely. I was a little bit worried by the amount of detail but it looks like they won't be much of a slog at all.

#Hobbystreak day 278. I was in a mood for returning to some armies I haven't been working on in a while so I built the Belial I have had sitting around for a while and got him primed. I also got these new plastic lich priests primed and I'm going to start painting them first.

#Hobbystreak day 277. Another star of Jade Falcon Zeta Galaxy ready for the table. I need to double check the numbers but I think I might be up to a full cluster.

#Hobbystreak day 276. I fell asleep with this in drafts. I got back to painting the Jade Falcon star I had on my hobby desk. Solid progress should just be one more painting session to finish them.

#Hobbystreak day 275. Battletech Sunday was a white elephant Solaris match. Everyone brought 4 custom mechs with printed sheets and there was a random draft of units. Also a random complications table that caused 2 buildings to fall from sky on mechs and gravity to change.

#Hobbystreak day 274. The Orcs war boss Grinchus Da Thievin attacked an elven convoy delivering supplies to the people of the empire. A battle for the fate of Festag ensued.

The new animal farm movie is a quirk chungus comedy with a scene of a pig twerking because the world did end in 2012, we are all dead and this. Is. Hell.

#Hobbystreak day 272. Dry brushing and washes for some simple terrain that should distract too much from the action on the table.

#Hobbystreak day 271. 4 coats of varnish and I am still expecting something on these wood elves to chip off his c'est la vie. I wanted to take it easy for the remainder of the year so I am starting off with some elven way stone objective markers.

I had bad bout of insomnia last night and in my random wikipedia deep dive to kill time I discovered there was a Sengoku Era Pokemon game that plays as a strategy RPG. This checks like every possible box for me and I can't believe I didn't know it existed until last night

#Hobbystreak day 270. My Christmas painting is done and appropriately I finished it with elves. Tomorrow I just need to coat them with like 5 coats of varnish since these are metal minis.

#Hobbystreak day 269. Nice day to get some painting done as the slowness around work has definitely set in. I was able to make some decent progress on these wood elf Characters.

#Hobbystreak day 268. Final campaign session for the Cavaliers for this year. We took the fight to the coup faction HQ and despite a surprise Bull Shark won the day. Now we just need to recover from all the pilot wounds.

#Hobbystreak day 267. Today ended up being my Christmas shopping day so I got less painting done than I might have liked. I did however get a start on these 2 wood elf heroes.

#Hobbystreak day 266. Another gift mini down. My goal for the final 2 is to have them done by the 13th so hopefully I can get a lot done this weekend.

#Hobbystreak day 264. I opted to keep the wash stage more in my usual style. My chaos friend likes grimier minis but I figured I will let him do those steps after he receives this guy so it blends with the rest of his army. Gift mini number 2 is a wolfy vampire.

#Hobbystreak day 263. This nearly ended up being a 1 day completion after I got into a good groove. Really happy with how the red has turned out but now I need to dirty this guy up some. This is far too clean for chaos.

#Hobbystreak day 262. Painting of Christmas gifts begins with this festive chaos fella. Of course the first Monday back after a holiday meant I was working into my usual hobby time.

#Hobbystreak 261. Lots done today. I finished painting my Sea Guard and then based all the ones I hadn't done yet. I also got the minis I will be painting as Christmas presents built.

#Hobbystreak day 261. It really is incredible just how good a conclusion to The trilogy Return of the King is. Sadly I didn't fully finish my Sea Guard so I will need to do some final details tomorrow.

#Hobbystreak day 260. Today was the return to Middle Earth with the Two Towers while painting continued on my Sea Guard.

#Hobbystreak day 259. I should have anticipated today being busy but I did at least manage to get boots and gloves painted today.

#Hobbystreak day 258. It's the start of my thanksgiving tradition. Today I spent the day watching Fellowship of the Rings extended and painting elves.

#Hobbystreak day 257. And with these last 5 Jade warriors all the infantry from my Cathay Battalion box are built. Now I just have so, so many bits to cut off the runners.

#Hobbystreak day 256. We are still drying out so in the meantime Cathay grows larger.

#Hobbystreak day 255. Another rainy day so I spent my hobby time building additions to my Jade Fleet army and prepping bases for other minis.

#Hobbystreak day 254. First games on my new gaming table. I hadn't planned to host yet but our local game shop was full with 2 events happening so the army of Grand Cathay did battle with the Orc hordes at home.

#Hobbystreak day 253. Now that I picked a basing scheme I am going back and doing everything I have painted so far before I get ahead of myself.

#Hobbystreak day 252. At last these Jade Lancers are complete. I am very proud of how they turned out and even settled on a basing scheme. Now I just need to go back and do the rest of the army.

#Hobbystreak day 251. Continued working on Lancers today. I also had the realization that I forgot to clip their shields off the sprue and it's going to be raining for the next week so it may be a whole before they are finished all the way.

#Hobbystreak day 246. The plan was to finish these mechs today but I got invited out to see the new Predator movie. Overall not bad but I would probably catch it on streaming or in a matinee

#Hobbystreak day 245. I need to hype myself up a bit before I start on the Jade Lancers. In the mean time I am working on a quick lance of Canopian Highlanders.

I can already tell this Odyssey movie is going to drive me crazy. whoever it is in Hollywood that started the meme that anything 'old' is only allowed to be different shades of shit brown needs to be kicked in the balls for the rest of eternity

#Hobbystreak day 244. My mercenary handgunners are done. Overall kind of an interesting project and I think these are technically the first historical minis I have ever painted even if I am using them for Warhammer.

#Hobbystreak day 243. Much better progress today. Just the heads/faces left to do and some details.

#Hobbystreak day 242. Started painting my handgunners today but since I am still recovering from this stupid cold I ran out of steam pretty quickly.

#Hobbystreak day 241. Well I got my flu shot last Monday which of course means I have now caught a cold. About the only thing I had the energy to do was prime some minis but it's one step close to having a painted 500 points of Cathay.
