Tonight! Day With(out) Art opens at 6 pm in the DARC Microcinema! Be sure to join us for Meet Us Where We’re At’s opening talk and screening 💙 If you can’t make it, fear not! The program will be screened in a loop from 10 am to 5 pm, December 2nd to 4th, in the DARC Microcinema.

Meet Ahmed Muslimani, our keynote speaker for @visual_aids Day With(out) Art 2025’s “Meet Us Where We’re At” presented with @qu.art.ottawa! Ahmed Muslimani is a community health leader, actor, and advocate whose work brings together harm reduction, HIV and sexual health, and newcomer support.

Through a documentary style, The Sister’s Journey by Hoàng Thái Anh explores the daily life of a transgender woman in Vietnam using drugs. The film delves into her fear of stigma, struggles she faces, and the vital role of harm reduction services and healthcare available to her.

Voices of Resilience by Kenneth Idongesit Usoro follows the lives of queer individuals and drug users living with HIV in Nigeria. Through personal interviews and experimental visual storytelling, the film shows the protagonists’ worlds as they seek out underground harm reduction services.

DARC and Qu'ART are proud to partner with Visual Aids (www.visualaids.org) for Day With(out) Art 2025 by presenting Meet Us Where We’re At, a program of six videos that forefront the experiences of drug users and harm reduction practices as they intersect with the ongoing HIV crisis.
