So the clouds look great but initial tests with a character yield negative results for what I am looking to do :/ I do not think it's the end of the world, though, as I haven't even tried compositing further or adjusting.

Cloud testing in Blender. This took 6 minutes to render. Got the VDB from online and composited it.
