Trying to find a padded folding counter height chair that i can use while i cook & wash up etc because of my back/leg is proving to be a harder task than i thought. My boys are sat in the garden with the burn bin going - a lot of boxes to burn with me being immobile & having to order basics like shampoo - & just chilling with a beer & music is pure summer vibes. Feels like things are finally more ‘normal’ despite me still not being fixed.. My heart is happy. 🥰

One of the things I’m struggling with the most with these newly acquired disabilities is not being able to get things done as quickly as i used to, can’t even vacuum the house in one go without my legs going. I’m fine, but it’s having an impact on my headspace lately. I can feel myself isolating. 😅

This has made me sad. I joined the NHS Responder app & started volunteering during Covid & would do shopping for the elderly & when I became less able bodied it was phone calls if they wanted someone to talk to/just check in on people. Hope they’re replacing the services somehow.

Just walked about half a mile or so home from the doctors thanks to my new crutch mate, and my bodyguard that is 17. I’m going to hurt all over tomorrow, but yay! Haven’t done that for a long time. Small wins! 💪
