✅ Death Stranding replay all done! An almost therapeutic experience that I enjoyed even more for knowing the gameplay mechanics from the off. And I can't begin to understand a mind capable of dreaming up such a bizarre yet enthralling story. Genius. Keep on keeping on!👍

Completed God of War (PS2) Always been a huge fan and it might even just pip GoW2018 in being my favourite of the series. ✅ Action packed adventure 🎬 ✅ VERY well narrated 📖 ✅ Hugely entertaining combat ⚔️ ✅ Incredible sound 🎵 ✅ Greek mythology ♥️ ✅ Decent puzzles 🤔 ❌ Frustrating platforming 😤

I think the original Silent Hill might be the most unnerving game I've ever played. Utterly enthralled by it. Again!

How can a game that's basically a second job be so addictive?

🎮 Replaying Siilent Hill (PS1) 🎮 I'd forgotten how brilliant the intro is. Instant kick in the nostalgics. The dated graphics and sluggish controls bizarrely work well too and just amplify the sense of foreboding.

I'd like to join the conversation about game pricing by saying I paid £7.49 for the entire Metro trilogy and had an absolute blast 😉.

✅ Completed Metro Last Light. Possibly my favourite of the trilogy. Very similar to Metro 2033 but with slightly tighter gameplay, especially in the stealthier sections. Loved my post-apocalyptic journey and loved the ending too. Top stuff!

Replaying Flower might not be the manliest thing I've ever done (😅) but it's a super chilled way to fill a couple of hours.🪻🌻🌷

🎮 Started Metro Last Light 🎮 Loved Metro 2033 and I'm enjoying this so far too. In fact it feels a little more polished with tighter gameplay. Think I'm becoming quite the fan of this post-apocalyptic Metro universe.

Been helping my daughter cram for an exam so not had much time for gaming or BSky. I am however now a genetics and evolution guru! 😅 All done (she passed!) and so I've just started Beyond Two Souls. Any game with Willem Dafoe in it has to be great right? 🤔

✅ Metro 2033 completed ✅ Didn't take me long, mainly because I couldn't stop playing it. Had some late nights! 🥱 A solid, atmospheric and enjoyable shooter. There's plenty of action but it still manages to maintain a pretty tense survival horror vibe. So pleased I gave this series a shot!

🎮 Currently playing Metro 2033 🎮 Really enjoyed Exodus and whilst this obviously feels its age a little, I'm a big fan of it's more linear nature. The slower early pace really helps build up the atmosphere and when the action kicks in, it's pretty full on. Great stuff!

✅ Completed Timesplitters 2. Classic! Love the variety in the levels and the simplicity of the gameplay. Looks great, the music is wonderfully atmospheric and the action is smooth as silk. All in all, massively enjoyable.

✅ Little Nightmares II completed. Shares the offbeat eerie ambience of the first game and manages to add a little more soul and a whole new level of creepiness. Scratched my head a bit on a couple of puzzles but nothing had me stuck for too long. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Loving TimeSplitters 2 but not getting very far because I just keep replaying the absolutely fantastic opening level.

✅ Resistance Fall of Man completed. The 1950s alien invasion theme really hit the spot and the story is brilliantly told. Topped off with simply fantastic shooty gameplay. Completely blown away, way better than I remembered and maybe one of the best FPS games I've ever played.

Started Little Nightmares 2 and loving that they've added a little fwend for me to adventure with.

✅ Alan Wake 2 completed. An utterly absorbing atmosphere with superb production values. Unnerving physiological weirdness at it's best. The story board and some puzzles did fall a little flat for me but I enjoyed the gameplay overall, there are some fantastic moments. Great stuff.

Dusted down my PS3 and fired up Resistance Fall of Man. The 1950s alien invasion scenario is perfect and I love the fact it's based in the UK even if we still need the Americans to save us 😅. Wanted to replay this for ages and so far it's just as great as I remember.

First step in achieving my 2025 new year's resolution was to get this little box of tricks out of the loft.

Alan Wake 2 is my first game of 2025 and so far it appears to have been a very wise decision. It's properly pushing all my survival horror buttons. The atmosphere is just incredible, love a bit of Remedy psychological weirdness.

Sharing wine with friends and talking about our 2024 highlights. For both me and Mrs H it was seeing Green Day at Wembley, proper bucket list stuff. Fair to say we had the time of our life! 😉 Happy New Year everyone! 🤜✨🤛

My gaming time was down quite a lot this year but I did play these absolute bangers for the first time.

Haven't had much game time over the festive period but have been dipping in and out of Destruction Derby (PS1). Quite the technical achievement to have so many cars on screen all with visible damage but more importantly it's fantastic chaotic crash-tastic fun!

This was the first year my son was old enough to buy me a Christmas gift using his own money earned through his weekend job. He bought Alan Wake 2 and secretly downloaded it ready to play. Proper hit me in the feels 🥹.

Golden Axe released 35 years ago today on Sega Genesis / Megadrive and I'm still playing it! ♥️🪓

✅ That's a wrap on Little Nightmares. A gentle stealthy puzzler that never had me stuck for very long. Big fan of the offbeat eerie ambience, it really adds a lot to the experience. Love playing smaller games like this in between heavier stuff.

I love survival horror games and Alan Wake was the best I played this year. Loved the whole phycological horror weirdness and although it can be a little janky the gameplay loop is great. The sequel is high up on my 2025 list!

✅ Driver completed (PS1) 💪😎 Some difficulty spikes where both skill and luck are needed but the core gameplay could not be more fun. Car handling, high speed chases, music and storyline all scream 70s TV cop series. This final level tho' 😤

✅ Metro Exodus completed! Went in blind and was blown away by how great it looks. Well impressed! 🤩 Loved the survival horror and stealth sections and although the story didn't quite land for me, the atmosphere is superb. Massively tense at times. Some issues but overall, loved it!

Had a nightmare last night. Only a little one though.

Bargain. It'd be rude not to.
