i'm really looking forward to the artbook and trading cards. I am unfortunately a sucker for cardboard with pretty art. Maybe they'll reprint some Sunrise Crusade+Movic+Carddass cards? There was a lot of art made for the Pachinko games, I hope those show up in the artbook.

new bluray release! it's kind of a shame to see so little new art,,the beach pics and hotspring mai+natsuki are from old magazines... though to be honest i can see how most fans might have never seen these so admittedly i'm just greedy for new art lol.

i finally have a desk now. 💀 still have some painting and flooring to finish. i hope to eventually get a new computer because this one is barely hanging on. lol eventually

Even the Director commented on Bamco's refusal to acknowledge the series over the years; especially compared to its contemporaries that do get new content. I hope there is a future bluray rerelease with footage of the live events. Maybe with another animated short? (also Natsuki figure please 🙏)

HiME and Otome got pretty good international distribution all things considered, even with official dubs! (Germany, Philippines, China, France, Thai, USA, and UK) If you dig around the internet for archives there were a lot of fanworks/doujin produced. This series was well received.

HiME's 20th anniversary saw many international fans came out in support through online messages and merch sales. Bamco saw all of that and decided to region restrict everything for Otome's 20th anniversary lol

Patiently waiting til we get more news about the animated series of final fantasy 9 that was going to be made by the same studio behind les grandes grandes vacances. 😢 (they filed for bankruptcy and it was most likely cancelled 🙃)

i always cringe when watching this scene because THIS should have snapped her clavicle. The episode does show her bandaged but?? The passage of time in these episodes weren't very clear to me but either way shizuru please take her to the hospital lol

oh. i forgot about valentine's day. i've worked in a flower shop before, so the only thing i associate with this holiday (and mothers day...oh my god) is pure stress.

Then again one of key creative minds behind HiME was also a main figure behind Sound of the Sky and Izetta: The Last Witch, both of which also feature a lot of the same sexual humiliation kink that Mr. H*****ki Y***ino seems to be fond of... thanks i guess for always giving us lesbians but--Why.

It was a TV original production too. The anime came before the manga and any other subsequence adaptation drew their primary reference from the show. Original productions like HiME are rare because of how much of a gamble it is to not have a preexisting audience to sell an expensive cartoon to.

It's pretty easy to dismiss the off-putting parts of the show (episode 4..) as a product of its time, but to me the inclusion of these elements comes across as insecure. Like the creative team wasn't sure the story would sell without it so they threw it in to attract Those "anime fans" (derogatory).

Maybe it's just my personal, limited perspective--but it seems the that the long standing audience/fans of HiME have been women. Especially Not Straight women. huh, I wonder whyyy (sarcasm)

oh i had meant to reply to my post but i deleted it instead? oops. um. popup parade figures look great & aren't super expensive. If bamco won't make poseable kits of the others at least give us some popups. i REALLY want a poseable natsuki though. i have so many scale motorcycles for her lol

i get that this kind of merch is a cheap and an easy cash grab. I don't want to get my hopes up, but it does feel like there has been An Attempt at meeting fan requests. Plus a bunch of new artwork... so maybe--new content? New animated content please??
