I really miss the times when I was learning Japanese. I wish I had more time and money now to go back to studying.

This is one of the best mecha action games based on the licensed property. And normally I'd be screaming and telling everyone to go play it right now. But no, the only thing I'll say is 'fuck you' to whoever did this patch.

Thanks to @gamingalexandria.bsky.social scanning 1990 issues of Family Computer Magazine I managed to find an announcement of SD Hero Retsuden - a simulation game from Banpresto featuring characters from Gundam, Ultraman etc. (Famimaga #19, 05.10.1990).

For #RandomGameSaturday and Super Robot Wars 35th anniversary. This game was a system seller for me. No, really, I bought a PS3 after it was announced that SRW for PS3 is in development. And boy, 15 years later, and SRW is yet to reach this level of quality for the second time.

I'm totally not thrilled about the possibility of SRW Y Expansion Pack, because of how expansion was handled in 30. On the other hand, Y is a huge step forward from 30, so, maybe, expansion will be done better this time. SRW Z Special Disc is still a shining example in this regard.

That's just sad. My son loves Pokémon and loves Lego. Lego Pokémon could have been the best thing ever to him if he could play with it. "Build a huge Lego Pokémon statue and put it on a shelf" is not the same. It is Lego, you are supposed to play with it. It was a toy for kids first and foremost.

This feels like a fever dream, yet nearly perfect emulation of SRW W (DS) on PS Vita is very much real. Not that I even need to emulate DS this way, but Vita is such an amazing console.

Oh, crazy good scans of Super Robot Wars Alpha Original Story (sans the last disc) are up on a certain Sad Panda site. It is a four-part story released in 2001 that features original characters from SRW Alpha and Impact. And it was later adapted into the first Original Generation game on GBA.

#RandomGameSaturday Ace Combat 8 is announced and we are in 2029 on Strangereal's timeline, just 11 years before the events of Ace Combat 3. I love my Super Robot Wars, Trails and other games, but when it comes to Ace Combat, well, as they say, Nothing Else Comes Close.

I can play this game with my eyes, and I've lost count of how many times I played it. It's a perfect mix of things that please me: graphics, character designs, story, pacing, music etc. Whenever I'm lost, I boot up Phantasy Star IV and feel like I'm back home again.

Once I'm done with SRW Y, I should sit and finally give a proper watch to Wing. Like, I watched all of it, but never from episode 1 to final. Always some episodes here, some episodes there, not to mention Endless Waltz being my first Wing experience.

Super Robot Wars OG Collection that includes ports of OGs and OG Gaiden from PS2 plus original OG and OG2 from GBA. Yes, SRW Y was released only two weeks ago. Yes, I'm that greedy.

After completing two chapters of SRW Y I can't even begin to tell how impressed I am with this game. It's not "good compared to VTX30 era" (mind you, I mostly like VTX30, but it's still the weakest period of SRW in my opinion), it's genuinely really damn good.

When I first learnt about Super Robot Wars the idea of game featuring only original characters seemed really weird to me. Like, what's the point? Now Original Generation is my favourite part of SRW by far. Please, read this article and play some OG games.

Mobile internet is down in my part of city for two days now because of certain "national leader" staying nearby. So, I dug up this old little guy to keep listening to music while commuting. Judging by the last songs added, the last time I actively used it was 8 years ago. So many forgotten bangers!

Here's a fun coincidence. GQuuuuuuX Kycilia is voiced by Kaori Nazuka, who earlier voiced Miyu from Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya series. Original Kycilia is voiced by Mami Koyama, who'd later voice Momo from Minky Momo Separated by 45 years, connected via magical girls.

SRW Y feels so strange. Many attacks are amazing, and quick transition between animations is much better than 30's black screen. But I never imagined that I can be THIS upset about interface. You spent 4 years on new engine but can't draw interface that doesn't scream "my first RPG Maker attempt"?

Recently got into the Dragonlance novels and after finishing the Chronicles trilogy decided to try Master System game based on the first one. And in the first five seconds I accidentally killed Goldmoon by falling into the pit, making the game unbeatable for her staff is essential to kill final boss

Since SRW Y announcement, Terada posted nothing in his Twitter for a week and then proceeded to post about upcoming OG toys. It is tempting to think that he may be up to something, but my guess is that he isn't involved in Y production even as supervisor, so he simply has nothing to comment about.

When I was 7 my mom's friend saw me playing Little Big Adventure 2. She said:"wow, you can walk freely on this island? And there is rain pouring down? That's so cool, I didn't know videogames can do that" I'm in the starting locations of Xenoblade Chronicles X and I finally understand her amazement

Oh my God, I completely missed the news about her passing. May she rest in peace. Her work on Phantasy Star 3 made me fall in love with this game the moment I saw her characters.

Phantasy Star II had its 36 anniversary yesterday. On my 11th birthday my cousin gifted me this book full of guides for Mega Drive games. Among them were guides for PS II to IV. I read PS II walkthrough and it blew my mind. Game THIS complex on MD? It was my initiation as a life-long PS fan.
