depends on the genre if it's a story-driven game, if it's engaging enough, i can stand some dogass gameplay but otherwise, generally, good gameplay alone can carry a game regardless of story like. if the gameplay is ass i am most likely going to drop that game and not see the good story

the good thing about Switch games never dropping their prices is you can buy them on release and not play them for ages without regrets for paying full price /hj
