DEI initiatives aren't there to help marginalised groups. They are adjustments that help *everyone* counter the effect of their perception being skewed by living in a society with widespread bias.

I mean ... what we're seeing globally is inevitable right? The west as a peaceful democratic rich thing was only possible due to the legacy of empire and oppression right? Now that's over and once "third world countries" are catching up ... all they've got is denial and far right rhetoric for us.
