On this day - August 28 - the Romans celebrated a festival honouring the moon goddess Luna🌕. Luna had a temple on the Aventine Hill and upon the Palatine was a temple dedicated to Luna Noctiluca - Luna that Shines by Night. ‘Luna Noctiluca’ est nomen pulcherrimum, nonne?

I made this way back in April, 2017. It kind of seemed inevitable.
