Finished reading a book: Book #72 of 2025 The Trees by Percival Everett (2023) Loved it. The perfect intersection of dark comedy, mystery, and social commentary. Like all his books, a very fast read. Would love to work on the adaptation. #booksky

Finished listening to a book: Book #71 of 2025 Blood and Thunder: An Epic of the American West by Hampton Sides (2006) Well written and researched. Big focus on Kit Carson. And a reminder of how horrible and atrocious this country has always had a history of being. This is not new. #booksky

Finished reading a book: Book #67 of 2025 The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides (1993) Ultimately I liked it, but still not sure why the narrator couldn’t have been a traditional 1st or 3rd. But the tone is engaging and eerie. And the ending is still shocking despite the title. #booksky

Finished listening to a book: Book #66 of 2025 Thunderstruck by Erik Larson (2006) Two engaging stories about irritating men. Marconi feels very much like a tech bro. I didn’t know anything going in and the dovetail of the two stories worked very well. A cross Atlantic ship chase! #booksky
