Don’t ever apologize for your grief. You’re allowed to feel bad after a loss. People will offer you their condolences, sympathies, and advice, but don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t or how to grieve. The pain you’re feeling is a necessary part of the healing process.

Your soul is screaming out in pain. No one can hear because all your doors are tightly shut. You fear letting anyone in because it could make things worse. Your soul eventually dies because of the isolation/pain. Your heart stops beating. Who you were has been evicted by suicide.

Please remember that when someone has been battling mental illness and, unfortunately, as a result, died by suicide, they didn’t “take their own life” but sadly lost their battle with the mental illness.
