I put together a sourdough starter a couple of weeks ago. Harvested the yeast from a couple of apples from one of my apple trees. Finally ripe enough to make bread. These are the first two loaves.

Made a loaf of pumpernickel and have a pot roast in the slow cooker. The house smells amazing

My wife finished stitching together her quilt. Now she just needy finish up the back. And then square it and bind it. Then I confiscate it. And snooze under it.

Threw a corned beef brisket into the slow cooker with some potatoes, onions, carrots and Guinness this morning. When I get home, I will add some cabbage and let it go for another hour. It’ll be nice to have the cooking done when I get home.

I made the Meadow Rye Bread from the Elder Scrolls cookbook. I’m going to have it tomorrow with corned beef and cabbage for Patty’s day.
