Just looking through pics of the summer and thought people might like seeing how curious Felix (the big one) is about one of my silly boys (the unamused one). This happened a lot last summer and never ceased to be amusing.

Cats are liquid and graceful and fluffy, but they can also manage to jump down from something with the sound of an elephant's stomp, or run around the house like a herd of bulls. Can anyone explain this?

This is Emu. Her stripes make her look like a sad baby, but she's a happy kiddo. She gets extra cuddles just to be sure though.

Meet Barney, short for Barnacle. This is the second time I've seen him just plaster himself on Dad like this, but I have a feeling it isn't his second time. When finding him a new human just for him, I'll have to make sure they're ok with this form of hours-long cuddle.

Since my brother has tuxedo cats,I decided to get the pair some lovely bowties. As you can tell, they didn't like them as much as I did.

My silly ones like the part of this holiday that means they get new caves to investigate and destroy.

One of the more important rules for our wood stove is that, if it wiggles, it doesn't go in. Made the rule after the kittens decided firewood by the stove makes an awesome bed and haven't broken it yet, but it's still there.

Leroy made a new friend today at work. I bring kittens in for the Sunday events, and May here made an excellent pillow during one for a bit.

This stage of kitten growth is what we call Tiny Terrors, because they have left their little nest and started exploring, and the other four-legged family members start climbing to avoid them.
