Last night I met with an amazing group of pre-law women from all over Iowa (and some beyond) to talk about the path to law school, the opportunities ahead of them, and the importance of using their talents to serve their communities. I am so excited for these incredible young women!

Iowans are struggling to make ends meet, paying too much for what we need just to get by.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without teachers and a strong, supported public education system. It’s time Iowa becomes #1 in the nation for public education again.

For the first time since 2022, the average price for gas in Iowa is now over $4 a gallon. Our farmers are struggling with skyrocketing diesel and fertilizer costs, and hardworking Iowans are paying more every time they fill up. It’s time to end this war and bring down prices TODAY.

Thanks to Miller-Meeks’ vote to add $4 trillion to the national debt, our country’s debt now exceeds our GDP.  This massive debt makes our country weaker and burdens our children with paying interest on the debt for years to come.

A national hotline is reducing youth suicide, and the FDA is approving a therapy to cure child deafness. This is the good that government can do when it focuses on helping American families.

No matter where we go or who we talk to, Iowans are saying the same thing: they’re sick and tired of the dishonesty and political games coming out of Washington. It was great chatting with so many of you in Burlington. I’m ready to bring all of you with me to Congress and finally put Iowa first!

Had a fantastic time at a candidate meet-and-greet yesterday in Muscatine County. From new faces to longtime supporters, we are feeling the support and energy all across this district.

Had a fantastic time at the Indianola office opening with the Warren County Democrats. The work is just getting started, and from now until November, these folks in Warren County will be working to bring people together and put Iowans first all across the state.

One thing I hear a lot in SE Iowa is that we need the next generation to keep family farms going—and prevent their takeover by outside interests. But Miller-Meeks’s policies are discouraging young people with high costs, trade wars, and uncertainty.

Reproductive healthcare has been suffering in Iowa for some time now, and our smaller towns and rural communities are the hardest hit. Just last month, yet another hospital—this time in Clinton—shut down its labor and delivery services.

Excited to follow along as three Americans and one Canadian take part in the first crewed journey around the Moon since 1972. As a teenager, I always wanted to grow up to be an astronaut. While my path turned out quite different, I’m still always in awe of space exploration.

President Trump is demanding $1.5 TRILLION in taxpayer dollars for another foreign war with no defined goal. He plans to pay for it with steep cuts to education, housing, and other programs — so Iowans will pay even more for housing, and our public schools will have to make do with even less.

It was an inspiring night of canvass training with a huge crowd of volunteers in DeWitt. Some had experience, but many are totally new and ready to say enough is enough. Thank you Clinton, Jackson and Scott Counties!

Farmers here in Iowa are sounding the alarm as planting season begins.

This campaign is powered by on-the-ground, grassroots volunteers talking directly with voters across the district. We had a great group attend our canvass training in Indianola today! Showing up, organizing, and engaging with the community is how we will win in November!

The last time the Iowa men’s basketball team made it to the Sweet 16 was 27 years ago in 1999.
 As it happens, that was the year I moved to Iowa and started a new chapter in my life as an Iowa Hawkeye!

At a time when corporations are buying up communities and driving up housing costs, including in this district, Miller-Meeks has accepted thousands of dollars from the chairman of Blackstone Group.

That is how you do it, Hawks!! A nail-biter, but we’re on to the next round! 💛🖤

Just as we shared our earlier round-up of labor endorsements, we received the exciting news that AFSCME has also endorsed our campaign for Congress! I’ve always stood with workers and will never compromise when it comes to protecting the hardworking Iowans who keep our State running.

I am honored to be the only labor-endorsed candidate in this race across both parties.  Throughout my time in the state legislature and on the campaign trail, I have consistently stood with workers and unions, even as representatives like Miller-Meeks have left them behind.

The Director of the National Economic Council just said that continuing the war in Iran would hurt consumers, but that is the last of his concerns.

I have been so busy with work and traveling the district that I have hardly had time to watch any of the Oscar-nominated movies. Let me know which ones are worth watching and who you are rooting for tonight! #Oscars

Healthcare prices are up. ⬆️ Utility prices are up. ⬆️ And now gas prices are way up too. ⬆️ Instead of helping Iowans afford everyday life, Miller-Meeks has voted to cut Medicaid, voted to raise insurance premiums, and voted FIVE TIMES to support the tariffs.

Farmers were already getting squeezed on every end, and now the war in Iran is limiting the supply of fuel and fertilizer just as they head into planting season. Costs are soaring. What has Miller-Meeks done for our farmers the entire time she has been in Congress?
