What a little performer the Grantham Firecrest is. Allows close approach (with care and stealth). Traffic thundering by just feet away. Occasional skirmishes with Goldcrests.

Monday motivation, checked on the local goodies! Long-tailed Duck at Kilvington-appsars to have moved on, last noted 14th. Brent Goose, appears to have moved on from Marston area. Intensive search for Firecrest at Belton eventually gave one individual. ๐ท selfie by

The hide logbook is always entertaining at Woodhall Airfield. The Boxing day entry raised an eyebrow! No name against the Ring-billed Gull which I don't think was reported elsewhere.

The local small wood walk today to look for Nuthatch & Treecreeper proved to be a great idea with a Firecrest (lifer for me!) being seen, will be going back to see if still about.
