found this hybrid aythya duck at Frieston heath. Thinking Pochard x Tufted. It didn't have the Lesser Scaup-like bump on the back of the head that they mostly have, head shape even a bit greater Scaup-ish at times.

We probably have the biggest Carrion Crow colony in Lincs. at Marston stw. Good numbers throughout the year. Around 200 on the turf before roosting last night. Looked like all adults.

Saw 71 species at Freiston shore. Cold! 8 Med Gulls, 2 C Egrets, 100+ Grey Plover, mostly summer plumage, 12 Whimbrel, 80+ Turnstone, a Red-breasted Merg was on the lagoon.

Willow Warblers around here always seem to have brownish/reddish legs, whereas other places I've seen them, further north, they are usually much brighter (orangey/pink). Anyone else noticed this?
