My 50 kilometer (31 mile) one day hike is coming up on Saturday. I have followed a training schedule since January, but the longest walk has only been about 20 miles. I figure I will need another 3 hours or so. Weather looks cool, which is helpful.

NPS finally repaired the stirrup on the Nathanael Green equestrian statue in DC. It has been broken for a while. This photo from 2018. Greene's statue stands in full sun in the middle of Stanton Park, perhaps ironically since died of sunstroke at the age of 43.
