I was able to go into the house today and get one of the external drives that was tucked away in a drawer. it looks fine just dirty. If I lost it in the fire it would have been 10+ years of stuff just GONE 💀

Saturday night our house caught on fire. I was able to get my dog and everyone else out of the house before the smoke kicked in. Thankfully we are all safe but everything else will have to be replaced…

Please I’m begging anyone that makes stuff to not only archive your work on an external drive but also to the cloud. The more places the better!! There ARE situations where data recovery is not an option

If you'd like to help the indie community, support the people over at Comic Fury, Spider Forest, Comic Rocket, Webcomic Library, Webcomic Travelogue, Comix Cleric- and many more. Check out those places for webcomic resources and to keep things creator owned. That was the whole point of webcomics.

The thing that makes me most angry about what's happened to webcomics is how the scene has been imitating the shitty industry more each year: companies are taking advantage of artists, grinding them up, and leaving them to dry after they get their use outta them. Webcomics should stay indie.
