🎶 I love Lucy and she loves me, We're as happy as two can be... 🎵 Oscar has worked very hard to get Lucy Sparkles to bathe him and play with him. They don't snuggle yet, but not for lack of trying on his part. He gets as close as he can!

We are patiently waiting for two cords of firewood to be delivered. In the meantime, lots of birds in the yard at dusk to stave off boredom.

This is the first time I've seen Lucy Sparkles using the cat tree since the boys arrived. They played for quite awhile and everyone enjoyed swatting one another. But LuLu kept her spot! 💪🏻

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian family! We have much to be grateful for this year.

Today marks the day where the boys have lived longer with Lucy and me than at TK. They have all had a busy morning.

We are *so* excited for the season opener of #SeaKraken hockey tonight!

We are 6 months old today! 🎉 Archer is a risk taker and lives life out loud. He races everywhere. He leaps without looking. And he snuggles just as hard. Oscar has a rich internal life and he grunts and murmurs about it all the time. More reserved than his brother, but always ready for a hug.

Which one of you boys wants to wrassle first?

Made it, Ma! Top of the world! Now that it's Fall, the boys are learning about cooler temps. There are more snuggles, more warm spots to find, and soon lazy evenings by the wood stove.

Apparently, I interrupted an important meeting in the clubhouse. They have grown enough that it is a challenge for both of them to fit in here anymore.

Lucy and the boys are getting good at different kinds of playtime. Both boys enjoy poking her and hiding inside the scratcher.

I've been fighting a virus the last several days, so the boys have been called into action for skilled nursing. They are naturals! Archer is extra cuddly and sticks close by...often snoozing on my chest...but always keeping his good eye on me.

Lucy Sparkles is enjoying the opportunity to soak up the last of the summer sunshine...and she is not sharing with those stinky brofurs.

Lucy has been teaching the boys The Door Game. She often played this game with Audrey P. I admit that from a human perspective, it's not the most exciting game. But I am happy that they have something to enjoy together.

There's a Mod Holiday on the livestrwam channels this weekend, so I thought I'd share a couple mod-related items the boys brought home with them. A taco for Kel, who passed a year ago...and a snail for Sharra, who passed just before the boys were born and is the namesake for Snail litter names.

Wait. What? Came into the living room and these two are snoozing together by the window. These two wrestle at least once a day. Oscar will entice LuLu to play, too, but he is still desperately waiting for a snuggle with her.

Just lie down, Oscar, and have a snooze with your brother.

Heartbreaking news from @tinykittens.bsky.social this week with the loss of two kittens. Wishing peace for Trill's furry and human families...and for mama Zoe.

We started back to school yesterday. Oscar would like to remind everyone of the importance of getting a good education!

New bathing form just dropped.

The boys are becoming lanky tweens. I expect one to yell "You're not my real mom! You can't tell me what to do!" I have caught them launching themselves from the dining table to the top of the fridge. They have brought up safety glasses and sponges from the basement. Ungovernable, but oh so cute!

Why does this toy have such big eyes? It has *seen* things. This is one of the favourite toys the boys brought with them for TK. It frequently disappears and reappears in various places. It is the subject of many growls arguments over who gets to play with it.

What has four paws and goes thunk-thunk-thunk? A kitten who has stolen a plum to play with and keeps dropping it.

There is a heat wave on, so we're all taking it easy this weekend.

The boys are slowly winning over Lucy Sparkles. Their neutral playground is the basement and only when I am busy cleaning litter boxes. But today, she sat in the open cat carrier in the livingroom and exchanged pokes with Archer through the various holes.

Look, all I'm saying is that changing the bed sheets with two kittens is a résumé-building activity. You should at least be able to get a scout badge. Or a cookie.

It might be a hot day, Oscar, but you are still too young for a beer. Not to worry, I will take care of it for you!

The boys have been home 1 month now! 🎊 I appreciate how much joy they've brought with them and the cats they're becoming. (Lucy does, too, but would not admit that.) May we all have boundless energy and warm snuggles today.

Recently, the boys have transitioned from pre-schoolers who need assistance to primary age kiddos who go every place as fast as kittenly possible and put no limitations on their abilities. Even their heads and bodies are becoming more grown-up. They are eating machines (3 - 4 full-size cans/day).

All the fashionable clowders are layering this Fall. Whether perching on a cat tree or snuggled with a person, layers allow each member to reveal their unique identity while contributing to a cohesive look.

Only the favourite toys end up beside the food bowls. Archer loves the little fish that makes crinkle noises. Oscar adores the white seal (from TK) and mouse butt (that he has already torn the stuffing out of).
