Oscar still loves this toy he brought with him from TK a year ago. He plays with it every day and wakes me up a few times each night by dropping it on my head so I will throw it for him to fetch.

I brought these handsome boys 1 year ago today. Time has really flown!

Happy 10th Gotchaversary to ✨️Lucy Sparkles✨️. Originally named Marina June by the cat rescue org (because she was found at a boat marina in June), she has added so much magic to my life, as well as for two special boys (who will have their Gotchaversary next week). We're so glad you're here!

Archer has decided it's more fun to play with this toy by dragging it around by its power button, then trying to stuff the whole toy inside the scratcher or in a box. 😂

Some have wondered if either of the boys do the awkward love tackle of their mother, Edie. The answer is "not quite." Oscar does a horse-like rearing up, which is very endearing.

Lucy Sparkles takes time to snuggle and bathe each of the boys, in addition to wrassling lessons every day. Archer is especially starting to see her as something more than a big toy and is enjoying hanging out with her in different places and times.

I keep trying to get a sample of the 🚨 Archerhorn 🚨. He does not like me to take a shower because I am not within eyesight. (Lucky him! 😂) But he lets an alert rip, boops me, or climbs on me to convince me to stay with him. ¡Pobrecito!

Happy Happy Birthday to my two amazing boys. I can't believe it's been a whole year since I watched you be born. Lucy was on my lap and I told her you would be her brothers. I had no way of knowing that wish would come true, but we're both so glad you're part of our family. ❤️ 🎂 🎉🎈

🎵 Sunny days are here again... 🎶

I just had to fix a spot underneath the sofa where a small boy cat had torn a hole and both small boy cats were getting inside the sofa to play. This small boy cat in particular is super-bored now.

The boys were thrilled to watch the neighbour's tree get a trim. They did wonder why the fun people didn't come see them, too.

Oscar will let you pet him just about anywhere...except for his head. He does not want scratches on the chin or behind the ears. But Lucy Sparkles could lick his face all day and he would be ecstatic.

Kitten anecdote #1 During the night, *somebody* got onto the kitchen counter, opened the container of cherry tomatoes and carried them all over the house. Guess who got to do an impromptu version of an Easter Tomato Hunt this morning before leaving for work? Sigh.

Tonight's your night, Oscar! My sweet golden boy will be watching while several of his namesake are handed out in Hollywood. Join us?

It's a wintery day outside and a lazy day off inside, so we're making the most of snuggle time by the fire.

I am busy reorganizing some craft supplies, so while I sit on the floor, someone keeps peeking out from under the sofa to see if I need help.

🎶 And I seem to find the happiness I seek, When we're out together snoozing cheek to cheek 🎵

Down in front! These poor Olympians can't catch a break. Archer is vigilant against hockey pucks, curling stones, and speed skaters. He cries loudly when he is going to poke them, because he knows it will not stop them. Might as well be The Red Dot. #GoCanadaGo

Archer would like to boop noses with you. This is much nicer than what happens to the poor talking heads on tv. He leaps at them and swats their eyes. 😂

Brothers *still* make the best pillows.

It's remote work day, and Oscar is keeping his good eye on me.

The boys have become full-on teenagers, aware of their bigger (and clumsier) bodies. There is loud thunder as they chase and attack each other in long rounds of play. They leap across the furniture and slide around corners. Wrassling lessons with LuLu have been upgraded. We're growing up.

Lucy Sparkles makes sure the boys get a good face wash each day. Her hair styling technique is not as expert as Grandpa Mason, but she is working on it.

It's naptime! The cubby in the cat tree only holds one kitten now, so Archer is cozy all by himself. Meanwhile, Oscar is in his happy place in front of the fire.

My, we've been busy this morning.

Oscar is wondering what Sabta will bring this year. He hopes it is favourite springs. Don't worry, kid. I told Santa you've been a very good boy this year (other than stealing Cheetos from my plate).

Oscar is not much of a napper. It is not uncommon for him to hang out with me and do other things while the other two cats nap the day away. But when he's out, he's out.
