When Tropical Storm Chantal swept through Orange County earlier this month, it left behind flooded homes, displaced residents, & a community in need. After an initial inspection of both the construction site and homeowners' homes at Weavers Grove in Chapel Hill, the area fared well and is safe after Tropical Depression Chantal came through the area over the weekend.

During the Spring 2025 application period, Habitat received a total of 149 applications. At the conclusion of the application process, 14 applicants were income eligible for the program (or 9% of the total applicants).
