Discussion tonight in the locker room at beer league hockey: "Who'd win in a fight - Nickelback or Mariah Carey?" Consensus was Nickelback, but don't underestimate Mariah - she could definitely throw hands.

Merging high art (comics) and low art (Shakespeare). The expressions/poses in each panel. The food's acting, stabbing itself in the head with a fork for its performance. The breaking up of the monologue. The punchline. Inspired me when I first saw it. I still like to look at it and be inspired.

Wasn't long ago that no one knew/cared what posters were on the wall by my desk. Now thanks to Zoom and Google Meets, everyone sees everything. This is what that others notice most on my wall: my favorite old Calvin & Hobbes Sunday strip.

FINAL UPDATE: Owners of the photo identified! They did not lose a home in the fires, but did evacuate. Possibly the photo was lost during that. The photo will be returned to a family member shortly. We are very happy to be able to see it back home. Many thanks to those who spread the word.
