I just realized that I am one year younger than I thought I was. Wouldn’t have liked that as a kid but sure love it now.

My husband and I are traveling to meet his 55-yo son for the very first time. He was placed for adoption as my husband and the birth mom were just kids in high school. It was a closed adoption but his son found him a year ago. My husband has no other children or family. Dreams really do come true.

Folks, I’m being serious when I ask, what are we going to do to save our democracy? We vote, we protest, we contact our lawmakers, but it seems the Republican cards are stacked against us. A general strike would be the most effective answer but folks can’t afford it in this economy.

So thankful that my student loan was forgiven after paying faithfully for ten years and working for a nonprofit. Things are getting crazy right now.
