7yr ago I lost a baby. Took me a long time to accept it. Yesterday someone told me you re finally over it. No I am not. It still hurts. I think of her often. But as with any grief, I learn overtime to live with the loss. Perinatal loss is hard comments like that always hurts

Those rare cases also had a cancer and needed a bone marrow transplant. We know that this won’t be the cure we all hope for the over 40M people living with HIV. But they provide hope, and clinical and scientific data that are important. And a 1st Canadian cure is incredible

@natashahollett is a part time technician in the Lajoie Lab. She is part of the team studying how a widely used injectable contraceptive named Depot (DMPA) could increases the risk of HIV infection

Even in 2026, acquiring HIV means loosing support. Contrary to when someone learn they have cancer, with HIV a diagnosis comes with stigma, isolation and a”it is your fault” mentality It should not be that way. People living with HIV need support, and care

Data presented yesterday at the @CAHR_ACRV shows that MB is now the 1st province in term of new HIV diagnosis. Not a 1st place to be proud of. There is a lot of work to do and our government needs to listen and work with communities to develop strategies that works.
