Another potential video idea. How about I show off my Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny again running emulators, but hooked up to a retro CRT, keyboard, and mouse, and seeing how well the retro game experience is on emulation vs the real thing.

I Retrobrited the front of the Packard Bell Legend 1510 Supreme today. It was badly yellowed but looks brand new now. Hasn't looked this good in years.

Was reading a comment on something today about old Nickelodeon shows and the person was saying how they miss stuff like iCarly and old Loud House. Seeing that the Nickelodeon I fondly remember has Rugrats, Doug, Double Dare, etc, I felt VERY old reading that comment.

I normally don't write scripts for my videos, but the Windows 95 30th anniversary video deserves extra care. I also find it appropriate to write the script on an actual Windows 95 video. Planning to have the video ready for this Sunday.

Windows Me will be 25 years old in September. Thinking of doing a little video for it. Someone has to do it...

Apologies for my previous post. Windows 95 is 30 years old, not 35. It was late, wasn't thinking straight, and put my own age in instead.

Don't make the same mistake I made. Was given a laptop for parts but decided to buy parts for it anyway to make an overpowered XP laptop. Loose power jack, XP incompatible with SATA controller, and non-removable BIOS password. Always test stuff before investing money.

Just a random memory I wanted to share. Anyone else remember being sick in the '90s and waking up completely drugged from medicine to just barely see some old black and white show on Nick at Nite and wonder if it was a dream? I do.

I sincerely apologize for the lack of videos and other posts recently. I usually don't talk about my mental health, but I experience bad depression every summer and this year has been one of the worst. I have depression to begin with, but it flares up the worst in the summer.

Long post coming. So I'm wanting to share with you guys an idea I have for a new series of videos I'd like to try. As you know, "Nostalgia" is in the channel's name so I feel like I should share more of my childhood nostalgia, computers or not.

Packard Bell Navigator 3.5 and classic 90s 3D renderings

This week's video is unfortunately delayed. The Intel Atom desktop I'm making a video of is VERY picky about RAM. Does not take 4GB or 8GB sticks of DDR3. Having to wait on a 2GB stick to arrive from Amazon. Hoping to maybe have the video up Thursday or Friday.

I'm happy to say that the stability issue with the Packard Bell Legend 1510 Supreme has been fixed. Turns out it was the RAM all along, despite MemTest86 saying everything was good. It now runs like new.

I powered on and used my Corner Packard Bell tonight for the first time in a long time. Still works perfectly. Apparently the last time I used it was for this past year's Christmas video. And yes, everything still works.

This week's video was going to be me testing this weird Intel Atom thinclient I bought at Goodwill this past weekend for $10. I just didn't feel like doing a video this week due to being sick, but I hope to show this computer in next week's video.

Unfortunately, probably no video this week. My body seems to hate me. Had a kidney stone Sunday afternoon and woke up yesterday with a bad cold that I'm still fighting.

Quick unpopular opinion. I actually like when a cassette tape plays a little too fast. Reminds me of the Kenwood tape player in my dad's old 1986 Nissan truck.

Had an idea for a different kind of video I might do soon where I drive around Greensboro, NC and show places I used to go to as a kid in the '90s, some of which still exist and some that don't.

So I was finally able to run MemTest86 on the Legend 1510 Supreme. The pass came back good so the instability is not RAM related. I'm actually starting to suspect that riser card, since it was last in a system that had similar issues.
