I think I’ve fully lost all interest in Overwatch now, as even that new animated short did absolutely nothing for me.

As much as I love Breath of the Wild, the whole Gerudo part of the main quest isn’t fun at all.

Getting very close to the point of muting anything Resident Evil, ahead of Requiem’s release. Reckon spoilers will appear pretty quickly following the preview period & going into the launch month.

So…I got a Switch 2. Turns out the Breath of the Wild upgrade is rather lovely.

Watched Ballerina, despite Prime’s increasing number of ad breaks trying to put me off. It falls down a few times but overall it’s a decent watch. Ana de Armas is a great action lead.

Can’t help hoping that Capcom is cooking up something better than that Resident Evil showcase for the 30th anniversary, this year.

Been replaying Tomb Raider: The Prophecy for the first time in many, many years. I remembered it being good & it holds up very well, as a lot of Gameboy Advance games do. What a fantastic handheld it was.

Finally watched 28 Years Later & fuck, that was a mess. Barely a story & half of what there was, was left unfinished. Then there was the terrible soundtrack that never fit the tone & was way too overpowering in the audio mix.

Just gonna say it: I’ve always hated the red glasses.

Finally watched Godzilla Minus One. I wasn’t expecting the PTSD angle but it worked well, though it’s bizarre when connected to some of the fully ridiculous nonsense going on in the third act. Well worth a watch, either way.

Got a few episodes into Cyberpunk Edgerunners & that’s a hard no from me. Not a fan of the animation & the overall style/tone put me right off.

Finished Frieren S1 today. I’m not a big anime watcher these days but what a lovely show it is & a unique take on the fantasy adventure formula. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Wake Up Dead Man was an okay watch. The cast was decent but I just couldn’t connect with anyone or the story itself, it didn’t have much bite.

Nearing the end of episode 3 of Wednesday S2 & I think I’m done. This episode in particular has been terrible & the season so far has been a massive step down from the first.

I know this year starts with Requiem, but I can’t help hoping Capcom celebrates Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary with a Revelations 3 or even a Code: Veronica remake announcement.

I didn’t play enough of 2025’s games to make a Game of the Year list, but decided to start this year with my most wanted picks for 2026. 10. Darksiders 4 The only reason this isn’t near the top of the list is because it’s likely it won’t appear this year. But hey, I can hope…

Been feeling proper sorry for myself these past few days, having been hit with varying degrees of illness since Boxing Day. Not the rare Christmas break I wanted, but at least I now see why people like K-Pop Demon Hunters so much.

I guess I should be grateful that these full-on shivers at least waited until after Christmas Day to assault me.

I love the GT Sophy AI in #GranTurismo7 but man, did it just screw me out of a win. Final corner, AI tried a lunge that wasn’t on, almost spun me as it drove by to retake 1st place. Uncool, Sophy. Uncool.

Spent the weekend quite ill so grabbing a month of Netflix came at the right time! Binged Lara Croft S2 & now I’ve started Frieren, which was surprisingly emotional in the 2 episodes I’ve seen so far.

Finished Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft S2 & it was good fun. Better than the first season but still felt a bit rushed. I do wonder how it will tie into the new games, too…

Started this Jill Valentine WIP a while ago & just haven’t had the time/energy to finish it. Not sure i I will at this point, so here it is for now.

I’ve clearly watched *a lot* of Critical Role. Watching S2 of The Legend of Lara Croft & immediately knew Marisha Ray’s voice, then instantly knew Matt Mercer in episode 3.

I wish Capcom had kept the Leon reveal a secret. Would’ve been great to see him appear in Resident Evil: Requiem without knowing it ahead of time. On a related note: I’m also worried that Capcom doesn’t know how to process ageing in the RE universe.

I was not expecting two Tomb Raider games to be announced last night. We’ve waited so long, it’s nice to finally see what’s next for Lara.

Once again, my #PlayStationWrapUp shows how little I play compared to others. First year that GT7 hasn’t been in my top 5 too, which feels wrong.

The Running Man wasn’t particularly memorable & kinda felt like it was missing a proper 2nd half, but was a decent enough watch anyway.

Watched episode 4 of Welcome to Derry & it’s starting to get a bit silly. Some of it is interesting but some of it feels poorly written & incredibly predictable. Hopefully it was just a bad episode & it’ll get better from here…

I initially thought £25 would be too steep for the GT7 Power Pack DLC but, honestly, it’s effectively adding a full new career mode. I might be tempted after all, once Christmas spending is out of the way.

Started Marvel Cosmic Invasion on Game Pass. It doesn’t have the immediate charm of Streets of Rage 4 or TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge but it still seems fun enough.

The opening 2 episodes of Welcome to Derry are real weird. I’m a bit worried about its obsession with childbirth horror scenes though.

Turns out Predator: Badlands is ace.

I started a replay of Pillars of Eternity II & had forgotten that the Critical Role cast plays almost all the main roles. I could listen to Ashley Johnson’s narration all day long. It might also be bad that I can recognise the CR cast’s voices so easily…

It’s such a shame that it took until the last 30 minutes of the whole season for Daredevil: Born Again to become even a shadow of the original 2 seasons. Otherwise, it was a disappointment.

After having watched Daredevil S1&2 for the first time recently, I’m now really struggling with Born Again, a few episodes in. They’ve made Matt totally unlikeable & it feels like none of his character progression has been brought over from the previous seasons.
