The ocean was very rough today, so I went to the community pool to swim. I got 28 laps in, which is 7 short of the mile. I could have done it, but I got tossed out of the pool for a scheduled kid's swimming program I didn't see on the board when I get there. Almost there!

Well, we got Penny, the deaf Foster Dog. This is Day 6. She's come out of her shell around the house, and is even starting to torment our older dog. Out on a walk, or anywhere in public though, she's still quite afraid of everything. But, she's sweet, playful and goofy, she'll get better.

Trying to decide on Fostering a deaf, scared dog as a companion for our senior pup. We live on a popular walking trail, lots of dog-friendly people there. We can help her, but at what cost to us? She's going to take a LOT of love and training, not sure I've got it in me again.
